It is hard to know just what you will find when you go into the Cowboy South bar in Cheyenne Wyoming. From the placemats to the decor, it's an eclectic mix of styles. Most of the time it is locals who love to dance and listen to country music. Some are cowboys spending their checks in town and some are white collar workers but everyone is dressed in boots and enjoying the country music. Depending on the time of the year it can be much more though. During Cheyenne Frontier Days it's one of the most popular spots in town. The price of the drinks might double during that time but the bar is overflowing with rodeo cowboys and cowboy wannabes. It is amazing that anyone is able to dance with the crowd packed wall to wall but somehow that is not a problem. If you are ever in Cheyenne the Cowboy South should be on your list of things to do. |
